The Undergraduate Program in Communication Science, FISIP, Diponegoro University, accepts prospective students through a new student admission system that is conducted both nationally and by Diponegoro University. This program is open to graduates of SMA, SMK, MA, Paket C, or equivalent educational levels, in accordance with the requirements of each admission pathway. Applicants from various majors may apply as long as they meet the national requirements as well as the specific requirements announced for the current admissions year. Literacy skills in language, logical reasoning, critical thinking, interest in communication, media, technology, and social issues will help students successfully engage in the learning process within this study program.
Student admissions at UNDIP are carried out based on the principles of objectivity, accountability, transparency, non-discrimination, and affirmative action. In this regard, selection results are determined by the potential or achievements of prospective students and the criteria of the chosen pathway, not by background factors such as religion, ethnicity, race, gender, social status, or economic capacity. UNDIP also provides affirmative pathways and support to broaden educational opportunities for talented prospective students who face economic limitations.

National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP)
SNBP is a national selection pathway based on academic track records and does not involve a written examination. Participants must be students declared eligible by their schools and have their data completed and finalized through the national system. The assessment follows the policies of SNPMB for the current year, taking into account report card grades, supporting subjects relevant to the study program, achievements, and other applicable provisions. Participants are required to create an SNPMB account, verify their data, select their preferred study program, complete required documents or portfolios if requested, and then finalize their application. Admission through SNBP remains subject to data verification and re-registration at UNDIP.

National Selection Based on Test (SNBT)
SNBT is a national selection pathway that utilizes the results of the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK). The UTBK materials include the Scholastic Potential Test and literacy tests, namely Indonesian Language Literacy, English Language Literacy, and Mathematical Reasoning. Participants must have an SNPMB Student account and meet the requirements regarding graduation year, age, citizenship, and educational documents as announced by the national committee. Participants register for UTBK, select their study program, choose their test location, pay the test fee if not exempted, download their participant card, take the UTBK, and monitor the announcement of the selection results.

Diponegoro University Independent Selection
The Independent Selection is organized by UNDIP and may be opened in one or more waves. It includes the Regular Independent Selection (UM Reguler) as well as other pathways determined by the university, such as the Superior Achievement Seed Selection (SBUB), Regular Independent Selection for Economically Disadvantaged Groups, collaborative pathways, the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), and international student admissions. The availability of pathways for the Undergraduate Program in Communication Science, assessment methods, schedules, quotas, registration fees, and tuition fee components must be checked in the current year’s official announcement.

Superior Achievement Seed Selection (SBUB)
SBUB is intended for prospective students who have outstanding academic or non-academic achievements. The fields of achievement, competition levels, supporting evidence, verification mechanisms, and selection stages are stipulated in the guidelines published each year. Prospective participants are required to prepare valid and verifiable certificates or documents of achievement. Admission does not depend solely on certificate ownership, but also on the relevance of the achievement to the categories and standards established by UNDIP.

International Undergraduate Program (IUP)
The IUP offers an undergraduate educational experience with an international academic environment and the use of English in accordance with the program’s characteristics. The IUP selection process may include assessments of academic competence, English language proficiency, and an interview. Prospective students must check whether the Undergraduate Program in Communication Science is open in the selected intake wave, which language proficiency documents are accepted, the tuition fees, the selection schedule, as well as available opportunities for international mobility or collaboration.

- Determine the appropriate pathway based on graduation status, academic track record, readiness for examinations, language proficiency, and financial capacity.

- Create an account on the correct portal—the SNPMB Portal for SNBP/SNBT or the UNDIP PMB system for independent pathways—using an active email address and phone number.
- Prepare identity and academic documents, such as NIK (National Identity Number), NISN (Student Identification Number), school data, report cards or diplomas, a recent photograph, achievement certificates, and any additional documents required for the chosen pathway.
- Fill in the data consistently, carefully select the Undergraduate Program in Communication Science, upload legible documents, and complete the finalization before the deadline.
- Keep your participant card and payment proof. Take the test, interview, or verification as scheduled, and monitor the results only through official channels.
- If accepted, complete the re-registration process, document verification, determination of UKT (tuition fee) or educational costs, and a medical check-up if required.

Discrepancies in identity data, illegible documents, unverifiable achievement information, or failure to finalize the application may affect the validity of the registration.
