Semarang – The Communication Science Student Association (HMPS) at Universitas Diponegoro successfully held COMMPACT (Communication Impact) 2026 on Saturday (13/9) at the RT 18 RW 02 Hall, Bangetayu Kulon Village, Genuk District, Semarang. Carrying the spirit of “Resik Wargane, Sehat Keluargane” (Clean Residents, Healthy Families), this initiative was designed to encourage community participation in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
The four-hour event, running from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB, featured a series of activities including waste sorting education, creative waste management workshops, eco-enzyme production, and health check-ups for residents. COMMPACT 2026 was organized in collaboration with KSR PMI Universitas Diponegoro and World Cleanup Day (WCD) Central Java.
This program supports three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its various activities. SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being is addressed through resident health check-ups and efforts to raise awareness about the link between a clean environment and public health. SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities is reflected in initiatives encouraging residents to maintain environmental cleanliness and strengthen community-based waste management. Meanwhile, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production is pursued through waste sorting education, creative waste processing, and eco-enzyme production, inspiring the community to manage waste more responsibly and reuse potential waste materials.
Through COMMPACT 2026, residents are expected to gain practical knowledge and raise their awareness regarding environmental health and responsible waste management. Beyond these activities, the program serves as a platform for students and the community to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and develop sustainable environmental management practices.
